An Arrival Honor given to PCSUPT MANUEL H CACHERO, DRDA, PRO-1 representative of PCSUPT CONSTANTE D AZARES, ARD, PRO-1 as Guest of Honor and Speaker followed by the program held at the LU PPO Conference Room were PSUPT RONILO DATU gave the invocation followed by the Welcome Remarks of the Provincial Director, PSSUPT NOLI G TALIÑO who expresses his heartfelt congratulations to all PNP members and stakeholders who rendered their unselfish efforts during the 2010 Election in the province. It was followed by the Briefing Presentation of PSUPT ANGELITO D DUMANGENG, Chief, and OPB regarding Post-Election Assessment on the Conduct of Hope 2010. PCSUPT MANUEL H CACHERO, DRDA, PRO-1 awarded the Medals and Certificate of Recognition/Appreciation to all awardees. In his message, PCSUPT MANUEL H CACHERO reiterated to everyone his sincerest thanks and congratulations for a job well done.

May 03,2010 at 8:00 in the morning, The LU PPO hosted a Send-Off Ceremony to the three hundred twenty three (323) augmentation troops from the PNP, AFP and other Law Enforcement Agencies to be deployed for the May 10, 2010 Automated National and Local Elections with PCSUPT CONSTANTE D AZARES, JR, RD, PRO-1 as the Presiding Officer represented by PCSUPT MANUEL H CAHCERO, DRDA, PRO-1 attended by COMMODORE EDGARDO L ABOGADO, Commander, NAVFORNORTH; COMMODORE ATHELO L YBAÑEZ, Commander, Coastguard District Northern Luzon; COL AVELINO F MENDOZA, Commander, 580 ACWG; DIR ROBERT S OPENA, RD, PDEA, RO-1; ATTY JOEL J GINES, Provincial Election Supervisor II; other Officers of other PNP units; AFP; Coast Guard; other Law Enforcement Agencies; Staff Officers of La Union PPO and All Chiefs of Police were present during the said occasion.

With the joint efforts of PCR Branch of this Office together with the other Advocacy Groups such as COMELEC, PAF, DepEd, DILG, NFNL, Tignay-PPCRV, PCG-NLZ, and Heads of different Religious Groups and other concerned citizens, the conduct of Peace Rally was successfully realized at the different towns of Naguilian and Aringay on April 29, 2010 and April 30 at the town of Agoo. All participants holding placards containing messages denouncing political violence walk around the town to show to the town’s folk their will to achieve an Honest, Orderly and Peaceful Election 2010. The second part of the program is the Inter Religious Prayer Rally which was attended by the different Religious Groups, this demonstrated that difference in religion is not a hindrance in the attainment of peace as they read the Scripture and the Gospel Reading. Rev. Artemio R. Rillera, SVD, DD Bishop Diocese, La Union gave also his message reiterating on the achievement of an Honest, Orderly and Peaceful Election is in the hands of the voter’s themselves.

21 April 2010-The LA Union Police Provincial Office conducted a prayer rally entitled “ National Prayer for HOPE 2010. The activity is a Prayer Rally which was attended by Bro. Glen, a deacon from PRO-1 in lieu of Fr. Ronilo Datu. La Union Police Provincial Director, PSSUPT NOLI G TALIÑO and PSUPT NOEL B AMOYEN, Deputy Provincial Director for Administration, other Staff Officers and personnel from this office and LU PPSMC spearheaded the said event. Representatives of the different Advocacy Groups such as COMELEC, PAF, DepEd, DILG, NFNL, Tignay-PPCRV, PCG-NLZ, and Heads of the National Support Units were also present to show their support and to join hand in hand in an Ecumenical Prayer Service. This inter-agency activity is to show solidarity in mobilizing the power of spirituality in the form of a prayer. The program started with a registration to all the invited guests. The program was an ecumenical service, the first part of the program which was started by an Opening Prayer by Bro. Glen. Everybody was heartily welcomed by the Deputy Provincial Director PSUPT NOEL B AMOYEN who extended his gratitude to everyone who graciously heed the invitation. It was followed by different messages of the different Religious Leaders in the person Rev. Conrado Lumahan, Sr, A dedicated Christian Leader and Coordinator from International Christian Mission and Rev. Aurelio N. Nitura, PRO-1 MRP/PDL Coordinator. A friend from the Muslim Sector Mr. Zainal Allan Macapundag, President of the Association of Muslims in San Fernando City,La Union also extended his prayers and insights during the Prayer Rally. PSSUPT NOLI G TALIÑO during his message expressed his gratitude to everyone who joined in the prayer rally that the intercession of the God Almighty is the only hope for a real Honest, Orderly and Peaceful Election 2010. The Second Part of the program is the Ceremonial Pinning of Badge Hope to all PNP personnel. The HOPE Badge was pinned by Bro. Glen to the Provincial Director symbolizing that the strength of PNP is solely coming from the Almighty Father. The Third Part is the reading of the 10 Commandments for election 2010 by the chief PNP was read by PSUPT ANGELITO DUMANGENG, Chief of Operations and Plans Branch.
